Here we have a vintage sterling silver souvenir spoon manufactured by Shepard Mfg. Co. of Melrose Highlands, MA,  The company was in business from 1893-1923.  This spoon says "Kentucky" on the handle.  On the tip it says "United We Stand, Divided We Fall" and shows two men shaking hands.  Below this there is a horse and a barrel.  In the bowl it says "Old Kentucky Home" and "Covington" and shows the Old Kentucky Home building.

On the back it says "Sterling" and "S" (for Shepard).  Initials are engraved into the tip on the back.  It looks like "L.A.M.".

The bowl of the spoon appears to have a light gold wash.

Measures approx. 5 5/8" in length and weighs in at 19.4 grams.

Excellent condition.  I have given this a light cleaning to check for defects and for photos.  The spoon may be additional cleaning and/or polishing.
