While details on the origin are unknown, the stone is described as **hard** yet possessing **good abrasive power** and providing a **smooth sharpening feel**. It was acquired from a Master Carpenter (Miyadaiku) and is proven effective for achieving an excellent edge on chisels and planes. It is suitable for precise sharpening and pre-finishing work.
