Antique MotoMeter "Balloon" tire pressure gauge. It was an accessory specifically designed and branded for the Ford Model A automobile, which was produced from 1928 to 1931.

• Manufacturer: The gauge was made by the National Gauge & Equipment Company of La Crosse, Wisconsin, but branded and sold by The Moto-Meter Co. Inc. of Long Island City, New York.
• Era: These gauges were popular in the 1920s and early 1930s, before in-dash tire pressure gauges became standard equipment in vehicles.
• Intended Use: The gauge is marked "BALLOON," referring to the "balloon" tires that were becoming common at the time. It displays pressure up to 50 PSI. The plate on the front indicates the recommended tire pressure for a Model A Ford was 35 LBS. (PSI).
• Collectibility: These are considered rare and desirable original tools or accessories for serious Ford Model A owners and automotive history collectors. 

The MotoMeter Company

The MotoMeter Company, Inc. was a prominent manufacturer of automotive instruments in the early 20th century, best known for their Boyce MotoMeter radiator cap thermometers. They offered a variety of gauges, often custom branded with specific car manufacturer or dealer logos, as seen with this Ford-specific gauge. The company dominated the American market for a time but eventually became obsolete as automobile technology advanced. 

Size: Measures approximately 2 inches across, 3 inches long.
