Up for sale is a rare piece of computing history: an original Apple Microphone, brand new in its original box. This is "New Old Stock" (NOS), still factory sealed in its original shrink wrap.
This specific model was released in 1990/1991 and was famously bundled with (or sold for) early Macintosh models like the Macintosh LC, IIsi, and Quadra series to support their new built-in sound recording capabilities.
Product Details:
Authenticity: Genuine vintage Apple hardware with the classic Apple Garamond typeface on the packaging.
Condition: The box is in good vintage condition with some light storage wear/foxing visible under the shrink wrap. The seal is intact.
Design: Features the iconic "round" microphone head designed to be clipped onto the top of a CRT monitor or used on a desktop.
Compatibility: Uses the proprietary Apple 3.5mm line-level jack (longer than a standard 3.5mm plug). Please note: This requires a powered mic port common on vintage Macs; it may not be plug-and-play with modern PCs without an adapter.
