Hamilton Beach Scovill 9-Speed Chrome Deluxe Timer Mixer

40CT

The Hamilton Beach Model 40CT Deluxe Timer stand mixer in chrome is a beautifully preserved example from the Scovill era, likely the late 1970s based on the branding. While it's still fairly easy to find used models from that time, this one is far less common: it's still brand new and unused in the original box, complete with the set of stainless steel bowls (1-quart and 3-quart) and beaters.

Despite being in storage for decades and having some dust in the box, the parts are still gleaming after a quick clean. (Note that I only cleaned the visible parts, so there's likely more grime hidden in the smaller parts.) Some of the documentation, excluding the manual, has also begun to break apart due to age. However, the core appliance and accessories remain in exceptional shape, making this a standout time capsule for vintage kitchen collectors or everyday bakers seeking durable, retro performance.

What makes this piece truly special is its rarity: a chrome-finish Hamilton Beach stand mixer from the late 1970s still brand new in the original box is almost unheard of today, with most surviving examples showing heavy use, discoloration, or missing parts. It will be packaged in an additional outer box for safety during shipping, and I'll absorb the shipping cost due to the weight.

Shipping Details

Any item that has free shipping will be noted as such in the item description. For all other items only the actual shipping charges are being automatically calculated by eBay based on your location, the weight, and the required box size. I reserve the right to select the shipping option from those listed for purchased items. Please review my store policies for pricing, shipping, and returns below.

Visit www.usps.com/business/prices.htm to see current prices and how much they have increased. Note that eBay deducts its fee not only from the sale price, but also from any shipping amount paid to the seller. In other words, sellers lose money on eBay through the shipping costs.

When making purchases on eBay, don't just look at the price. Carefully consider the feedback sellers receive, particularly when they have received negative comments. Pricing
Most items I sell are set to Buy It Now, but priced based on the market and sometimes still open to negotiation. Please do not send overly low offers, as I often list my items similar to or even lower than others. In most cases I simply will not respond. Unlike many sellers on eBay, I spend a great deal of time providing professional listings with thoughtful descriptions, very prompt and careful shipping, and responsive communication. Please take this into consideration when comparing my pricing to that of others.

Shipping
Every item is weighed beforehand and entered into eBay's automatic shipping calculator, which generates the shipping quote based on the provider, your location, the weight and (when applicable for larger items due to volumetric weight) the box size. All carriers continue to increase rates on a steady basis; this is outside the control of eBay sellers.

In general I ship the same day or next day when purchases are made, including on Saturdays, and they're all assigned valid tracking numbers through eBay's system. All items are packaged carefully with sufficient protection to ensure they reach you safely. Any items that exceed $100 in value, with a few exceptions, will be covered by additional insurance in the full sale amount at no cost to the buyer.

Returns
Returns are accepted within 30 days following the date of purchase. In cases in which an item does not match the description or does not work as stated, a full refund will be issued, including the original and return shipping costs. However, in cases in which you wish to return an item for other reasons, or if an item was listed "as is" in the description, note that only the purchase cost will be refunded. The original shipping cost and the return shipping cost will be the responsibility of the buyer.
