The charity postage stamp issue “Land of Superhumans” is a symbol of respect and support for Ukrainians who continue to fight for their lives even when they lose parts of their bodies.
The issue was produced by Ukrposhta on the initiative of the Superhumans Center, a nationwide military trauma center that provides free assistance to help everyone affected by the war in Ukraine — military personnel and civilians, adults and children — return to a full and active life. According to international organizations, since the beginning of Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine, tens of thousands of Ukrainians have needed prosthetic limbs.
The prototypes for the Superhumans featured on the new postage stamps designed by Andriy Yermolenko are real heroes: veteran “Sima” Ruslana Danilina, who joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the age of 18, and “Oleksa” Oleksiy Prytula, a veteran who is a veterinarian in civilian life.
The charitable funds raised from the sale of postage stamps will be used to support the activities of the Superhumans Center, in particular the physical rehabilitation of patients at Superhumans Dnipro.
