For the revolutionary out there, the historian out there, the archivist, the curious, the ironic, whomever. This piece of history is from 1974, during the continuing Chinese Revolution. It depicts a devilish Western scholar filling a imbecilic looking everyman with ideas in the form of books. The title sarcastically reads, "My Brain is Good!" Bottom right there is a name (of the artist?) and at the bottom by the date it reads "Central Art Institute Competition Team 1974."
The intellectual was the enemy at this time in China. Free thought and ideas were contrary to the production of the everyman. Feel that way yourself? Or are you frightened by history repeating itself? Regardless, this poster needs a home where it can be discussed, for better and for worse.
