The set of 4 Changzhou combs are intricately painted on wood. These combs, stored in a box, showcase Asian culture and craftsmanship. The designs on the combs likely reflect traditional Japanese or Chinese people or perhaps deities. I am unable to translate much more than the maker.

The combs are unused in their original bags and box, not sure if they are in the right order, because each lady obviously represents something. The box was coming apart on 1 corner and I taped it. My Mom bought these overseas in the 60's. Very beautiful, the pictures don't do them justice.
