This listing is for this fantastic and intriguing Antique 9ct yellow gold Masonic Orb, also known as a Globe and Cross Fob or Masonic Ball. This fascinating piece opens to reveal a hidden world of Masonic symbolism, featuring six pyramids, each beautifully hand-engraved with Masonic emblems.

Made of a solid 9ct gold frame and outer, with a gilded solid silver interior, it has four separately hinged gold arms, each hand-engraved and with trefoil terminals, which open individually to reveal the hidden cross inside.

The orb is constructed with individually hinged arms, which unfold to form a cross composed of six miniature pyramids. Each triangular face is hand-carved with classic Masonic emblems, including the Eye of Providence, a skull and crossbones, the square and compass, the crescent moon, a pyramid, and more.

It is versatile in design; it can be worn as a fob on a watch chain, a pendant on a necklace, or as a charm on a bracelet. it makes a meaningful and collectable addition to any jewellery or Masonic collection.

The Masonic Ball measures 13mm in diameter and, when opened to a cross, it measures approximately 36mm by 26mm and is Hallmarked 9ct on one of the gold arms and 9ct & SIL and MADE IN ENGLAND on its back.

The 9ct gold Singapore chain measures 18 inches and has a Full British Hallmark for 9ct gold on its tag and 9K on its Spring Ring.
