Large salt glazed stone ware spirit flask of the bust of Souter Johnnie.
Souter Johnnie, a shoemaker who lived in the small village of Kirkoswald, in Ayrshire. Robbie Burns wrote a poem "Tam o Shanter" about Souter Johnnie.
This is a rare item produced in Scotland around 1850.
Large size measures 8inch high by 7 1/2inch wide.
Sadly the handle on the back has been broken off and there is a surface chip to his jacket collar.
I have only seen a couple of these and both been in bad condition, this is the most intact one I have seen.
Rare item.
It's heavy and will be very well packed to ensure safe delivery hence postage and packing cost.
Postage and packing - £9.95.
Good luck.
