PSA Set Facts:

MacLeans Toothpaste’s 1966 Batman set consists of 36 cards. The promotional sets were given away to buyers of Macleans toothpaste in North America and are identical in design to the Weeties and Rice Krinkles cereal promotional sets distributed in Australia. The front of each card features a colorful, artistically rendered depiction of the Dynamic Duo and/or an arch enemy (Catwoman, False Face, Mr. Freeze, Joker, Penguin, Riddler, or Mad Hatter), along with a small block of text. The only difference between the two sets is that Macleans features a black back with the product name and Batman logo, while the cereal cards have a blue backdrop. The final card in the set celebrates the iconic "Wham!" "Pow!" and "Bang!" title accompaniments to the 1960s Batman television show. Production of the promotional set was considerably lower than other Batman sets of the 1960s. Although not in high demand, high-grade copies of the set are considered next to impossible to find.
