Bailey
& Co. made their own silver for a short period of time between 1852-1862. Prior,
they were known as Bailey & Kitchen, and after Bailey Banks & Biddle
Co. - all brands were produced in Philadelphia, PA.
This set comprises of a coffee/tea pot with a lidded sugar and cream pitcher, in the aesthetic style #1893 adorned with various repeating weave patterns, ball dots and finial lids. Each bears the monogram EB in the cartouche on the front of each piece. Patent mark May 7, 1861. Measurements: Tea Pot 8” high to top of finial, 9.5” wide handle to spout tip, 5.5” depth. Sugar 4.5” high, 5.25” diameter. Cream Pitcher 4.5” high, 6” wide handle to spout tip, 4” depth. Condition is exactly as found & pictured - in need of a gentle polishing, oxidation in/out and a few dimples/dents from age and use...see all photos for specifics. *Set will be packaged very well & fully insured for shipment.
