Vintage Brass/Metal William Proctor Jr RX Secundum Artem Mortar and Pestle Bookends in raised letters on the bottom is "Secundum Artem".  In good vintage condition.  It measures approx. 5" tall & 4.25" wide.  William Proctor Jr. (1817-1874) was an American pharmacist who is known for his role in establishing the American Pharmacists Association.  He also was part founder of the company Proctor and Gamble.
