CARD IS PROTECTED BY A PERFECT FIT SLEEVE ANY MARKS SHOWN ARE ON THE SLEEVE. TOPPS CHROME HAS BEEN INCREASING IN VALUE OVER THE YEARS PACKS SELL FOR HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS AND BOXES ARE SEVERAL THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS THESE CARDS ARE HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER AND INCREASINGLY DIFFICULT TO GET. THIS CARD IS A GREAT ART PIECE AND INVESTMENT.
Topps Pokemon Chrome sets were issued in the year 2000 in a Series I and Series II, in separate boxes and packs. Series I packs have the image of Pikachu on the front and consisted of card #s 1 thru 78 while Series II cards have the image of Gengar on the pack and consisted of cards #s 79 thru 151. These Topps Chrome cards were issued for the first generation Pokemon only. There are 5 cards to a pack and 30 packs to a booster box. 'Parallel' card sets were issued in each box as follows: Spectra (version) cards were inserted aprox. one card in every 2 packs (10 cards); Sparkle (version) cards were inserted aprox. 3 cards in each box (1 card in 10 packs); Tekno (version) cards were inserted aprox. 2 cards in each box (1 card in 15 packs). All Spectra, Sparkle and Tekno version cards are identified in black characters on the card reverse.
