Indiana glass blue octagonal candy dish-bowl-box with lid is in excellent condition, with a singular flaw. There is one small (3mm) chip on the under side of the lid’s lip, where it sits on the base. It is not obvious when the lid is in place, and I’ve included several photos of the flaw.

This pressed glass piece was most likely produced in 1982, and it has a has a unique translucent cobalt color. Depending upon the light, it may be perceived as an almost pastel blue, or having a bright blue glow. I photographed it here in several different lighting scenarios so you can see the effect.

At 5.5 inches this is the perfect size for candy, trinkets, and jewelry, or use it as a gift enclosure for a special gift. You could even use it to store candles or special soaps for guests. With eight panels and a pleasing curved top with knob, this versatile candy box is equally at home with Vintage or Traditional decor, and even incorporates elements of Mid-Century Modern or Farmhouse aesthetics when displayed in either context.
