This wonderful 1950s UNSIGNED Capodimonte lamp features a *porcelain figure* of a *dancer* captured in mid-motion.

Based on the flowing, elegant form of the figure and the fine detailing in the face and drapery, this lamp is maybe an early XIX CENTURY masterpiece, produced in Naples.

- *Porcelain quality*: The delicate nature of the porcelain and the fine detailing in the dress of the ballerina with many folds, hand-painted flowers, captured in a moment of grace, mid-Motion, and expressive focus on her face, are hallmarks of XIX Century CAPODIMONTE pieces.

- *Hand-painting*: The visible hand-painted flowers and the soft pastel colors, especially the faintly painted flowers at the base of the dress, point towards a fine decorative piece.

Condition: figurine slides/rotates on its wooden solid base and it may need Glue to securely attach it to its wooden base. I can do restoration of this piece. Please, examine pics as they are part of the description.

Wooden base in mahogany presents discolourations. Metal is a bit rusty (see pics) as it is over a century old.

Shade of course is probably not the original. Otherwise, tested and figurine is in excellent condition for its age.

Ballerina is 15.5 inches tall.

Lamp, including lampshade is 26 inches tall.
