“Many a new roller bearing has been ruined by attempting to install it with a flat wooden or steel block that pressed the rollers just before the bearing reached it's proper position. These special drivers have a machined counterbore that clears the end of the roller but pilots on their outer diameter to provide alignment. Pressure is applied to the hub of the bearing from a machined shoulder on each driver thus avoiding bearing distortion.”
I’ve cleaned the soft powdery rust that covered this tool from 75 years of storage, primed and repainted in the original silver paint that Miller used. The cast-iron tool is in excellent condition, seal edge pristine, its clean, complete & undamaged.
