The Bormioli Rocco "Light & Music" wine set, made in Italy during the late 1980s to early 1990s, embodies the elegance that defined the company’s golden era of everyday luxury glassware. Founded in 1825 in Parma as a small glassworks, Bormioli evolved over a century and a half from pharmaceutical bottles to becoming one of Europe's largest producers of table glass. By the postwar period, it exported millions of pieces worldwide, blending traditional Italian craftsmanship with industrial precision. The Light & Music line, with its clean, luminous lines and subtle play on refraction (hence the name), was marketed as a refined gift collection through department stores across Europe and North America.
This particular set, which includes a model H943 capped decanter (98 cl / 33¼ oz) and four matching C45 stemmed glasses (24.5 cl / 8¼ oz each), comes in its original box, complete with the classic Bormioli rainbow logo. While it's still possible to find used sets, a brand new one in the box is significantly rarer!
Note that it will be shipped in an additional outer box, and full insurance will be included in the sale amount at no extra cost.
