Vintage Chinese Miao Aboriginal Tribe Hand Batik Art Deco Fish & Water Animals

Size 44" x 44"

This is one collected original batik art work. The cloth was the tribal homespun hand-woven local cloth, and the batik patterns were also HANDMADE!! It demonstrated extremely fine craftsmanship. The colors used have been blended superbly and brilliantly demonstrate and illustrate traditional Chinese batik skills.

Chinese ethnic minority people:
The ethnic minorities of China have produced fanciful, colorful costumes with distinctive flavors. They display superlative embroidery, brocading and batik. Most costume items or accessories are decorated with flowers, birds and animals from the surrounding landscape --  anthropomorphic and zoomorphic images that are often abstracted. Traditional auspicious designs appear, even among patterns that are completely geometric.  Some parts of these minority groups, particularly the Miao, migrated southward into Vietnam, Laos and Thailand, where they are known as H'mong.

This is my personal collections for many years, but not get a chance to use. This is from original hand artist-- China Miao Aboriginal Tribe.
