original 1916 color lithographed topographical map of parts of Multnomah, Clackamas, and Hood River counties in Oregon, and Skamania County in Washington.
- It is identified as the March 1913 edition of the Mount Hood Quadrangle, reprinted in 1916.
- Topography is based on surveys conducted in 1907 and 1909-1911, and the map is drawn on a scale of 1:125,000, with contour intervals at 100 feet.
- The longitude and
latitude parameters are 121°39' W to 122°15'

45°19' N to 45°44' N.

railroads, towns, settlements, and natural features — and even locates
individual houses and cabins.
- Among the named places and features on the map are the Barlow Road, Government Camp, Zigsag Glacier, Sandy River, Camp Blossom, Salmon Fish Hatchery, Latourell Falls, Marmot, Lost Lake, Dodson, Cascade Locks, the Oregon Railroad & Navigation Company Railway, Welches, St. Peters Dome, the Columbia River Highway, Bonneville Fish Hatchery, Columbia National Forest, Walker Prairie, the Spokane, Portland & Seattle Railroad, Paradise Park, and the Rangers Cabin at Bull Run Lake in Oregon National Forest, along with hundreds more.
- Oregon National Forest was renamed Mount Hood National Forest in 1924, which is its name today.
- The overall size of the sheet is 20" x 16" and there is text on the reverse side, including a correction dated October 1916.
- Condition: The paper has toned and stiffened with age. There's a small closed tear in the lower margin and a faint stained area at the upper left. Overall, a complete and intact original antique map, never folded, with no marks or writing. Please see the scans and feel free to ask any questions.
