Beautiful antique three volume set of History of The Reign of Ferdinand and Isabella The Catholic by William H Prescott c. 1871 in hardcover. The complete three volume set features blue leather edged corners and edges with marbled boards, the spine with brown and black leather and gilt accents and marbleized endpapers.  Books measure 5 1/2" wide x 8 1/4" long, each with a bookplate on inside front corner. 

The History of the Reign of Ferdinand and Isabella the Catholic is a three-volume work by American historian William Hickling Prescott, first published in 1838. The book details the Spanish unification under the "Catholic Monarchs," covering key events like the completion of the Reconquista, the establishment of the Spanish Inquisition, the expulsion of the Jews, and the financing of Christopher Columbus's voyages.
