A fine late 19th-century Japanese Totai-Shippo 'tree bark' bottle vase, beautifully decorated with cloisonné butterflies and flowers in rich autumnal enamels over a naturalistic textured brown glaze. A remarkable example of Meiji period craftsmanship.
