A very good quality large Benares brass tray, made in India in the 19th century, featuring detailed decorative designs. This heavy brass tray is densely engraved with an intricate central floral motif, encircled by a ring of smaller flowers. The main decorative band consists of prancing horse figures alternating with highly stylized leafy scrolls, showcasing remarkable craftsmanship.

The tray is versatile in use, suitable as a wall piece or a decorative table piece. A hanger on the back allows for easy wall attachment.

Condition
