SYMPTOMS OF FAULT

The symptoms of this fault are very obvious; windscreen wipers simply not working, only one windscreen wiper working, the windscreen wiper movement is erratic or juddering with the wiper link popping off frequently. Wiper motor can be heard working but no wiper movement. Upon inspecting the linkage mechanism, you will see one or both of the linkage rods hanging off.

THE FAULT

The poor quality bearings on your vehicles wiper linkage rods wear causing the linkage arms to pop off.

The original soft plastic bush bearings on each end of the two wiper linkage push rods wear down leading to the push rods popping off of their respective ball joint. It is a very common fault on this model.

Our rods are fitted with upgraded high-quality plastic bearings giving a smoother wipe, a vast improvement over the OEM part, designed to last the life of the vehicle not the life of the vehicles warranty.

We have noticed that the ball joint size on the motor part of the linkage can vary. We therefore include an additional bearing bush in case it is the larger size so you can be confident our part will fit your linkage. The best solution to this very common fault.
