Star Wars Talking Chewbacca Chewy Underground Toys 15” Plush Wookie Blue Eyes

This big fella looked a bit scruffy at first. I ran a brush over him and he cleaned up really nicely, but being a wookie, it doesn’t take much to muss his fur back up. Picked him up a couple of times, turned him in a circle to take his photos, and he already needed another style session.

He’s got curious blue eyes, a pouch on his side, and his bandolier over his shoulder. But it’s all movie image.
In reality, his pouch is just a prop… the flap is sewn shut, so Chewie’s not going to be storing anything in it. No leftovers, no weapons, not even an Ewok or two.
Also, his bandolier is more like an ambassador’s sash. Just a bit of nice cloth, nothing functional. Next thing you know, he’ll be sporting an ascot. :^)

He’s called a “Talking Chewbacca”, but his speech is pretty limited. He just roars and moans, I can’t make heads or tails out of what he’s saying. At least his voice works – see video below to hear for yourself. (Ignore the barking dog - the USPS truck was getting a stern talking-to by our Poodle mix)

When it comes right down to it, he doesn’t really need the stage props. At 15” plus, he can take care of himself, and his friends as well. If you need a big tough-sounding wookie to watch over your stuff, he’s ready and willing!

Condition is as you see in the photos. He’s previously owned, but in pretty good condition. One thing to note, I took pictures of it but it doesn’t show up well, but his battery storage compartment is in his back, it’s a vertical slit that closes up, but has a hardened edge. He needs 3 batteries, looks like watch batteries, the number is LR44. We put new ones in, so he’s not likely to need any for a while.
