Selling my dads 1968 Triumph Spitfire Mk3 which has been in the family since it was brand new when my mums cousin bought it and then sold it to my dad in maybe around 1975, dad then used it as a daily driver car until he sold it to his brother around 1985. Dad then bought it back around 1990 and it has been stored in the garage ever since. The 5 wheels were refurbished maybe 6 years ago and fitted with 5 new tyres.
We got the car out in 2021 and with a little TLC we got it running but the clutch was seized so it was put back in the garage.
Dad got it back out last summer and spent a week working on it, he removed the gearbox and fitted a new clutch kit and a new light weight alloy bell housing and aluminium back plate. Then he fitted a new clutch slave cylinder and removed the brake and clutch master cylinders, he has new ones but didn’t get around to fitting them.
He also fitted new brake discs, pads, calipers and stainless steel brake hoses and back plates on the front.
Everything new has been fitted with stainless steel bolt, nuts, washers.
He has a new stainless steel water bypass pipe, SS hose adaptor onto the water pump,Speedo cable, SS gearbox mounting kit, sump bolt kit, stainless steel horn brackets, alloy radiator, electronic ignition kit, silicone hose kit. Alloy rocker cover and stainless steel carb heat sheild.
There are boxes of spares he has collected from shows over the years with new rear lights, the original steering wheel and seats are included.
Comes with factory hard top and I the soft top and frame, has the Stainless steel sports exhaust system, he has a roll bar for it but has never been fitted.
He has new rear valance ,new rear wing and sill panels, spare cylinder heads, steering racks, front and rear bumpers, boot frame, servo, carbs, windscreen.
Also included in the sale is the original engine as the car is currently fitted with a dolomite 1300 5 bearing crank engine.
I have tried to list every thing but there are boxes and boxes of spares so will have missed some of the smaller items.
