Lionel Early 1666T-4 Whistle Tender SHELL ONLY, to repaint, drilled for deckrail
This old gal has been painted - but NEVER been installed! It's a factory spare!
Paint apparently did not adhere well, it has chipped / flaked / peeled in several places.
I have emphasized the right front corner because it looks bad... but there is NO physical damage - it's just a paint retention issue.
Mounting posts for screws are all intact - unbroken!
This can be painted and lettered to be virtually ANY of the Classic Coal tenders...or your own custom design.
These tenders were sold with and without railings...even though they WERE drilled for them. This one has holes for the rear tank deck rails...but impressions in the plastic show where to drill for other grabs.
Add railings (around the tank deck, and grabs front and rear) IF YOU WANT TO...or don't!

I would suggest you strip it, then with only a little prep work, You just need to paint it.
