This vivid composition by Danish painter Carsten Rütting Schweitz (1929–2021) features three abstract, doll-like figures rendered in bold red, green, and purple tones, set against a striking crimson backdrop.
Their expressive, grid-lined faces and flowing forms evoke a dreamlike, symbolic world. The work blends influences of Miró and Rauschenberg, typical of Schweitz’s mid-career style.

Carsten Rütting Schweitz (1929–2021) was a Danish visual artist and sculptor from Copenhagen. Debuting in 1956, his style blended surrealism and abstract expressionism, often featuring dense, organic forms with dreamlike, symbolic qualities. Influenced by Robert Rauschenberg and Joan Miró, Schweitz’s work is held in public and private collections, including the Musée Mansion de Arte (Spain), University of Copenhagen, and several Danish institutions.
