A antique Hinks & Son Brass kerosene Lamp, with a hand blown Ruby Red coloured Glass fuel Font. It has a Student type rise and fall design, with its glass font sliding up and down a brass rod and locking in position using a thumb screw - The rod is vertical. It is marked on its winder button - HINKS & SON and is marked on the brass collar of its glass font - HINKS & SONS PATENT. It has a flame damper fitted to its burner and measures 25" or 63.5 cm high x 7 3/8" or 188 mm wide. It has a heavy cast iron plug fitted into its base and is very stable, as it has a total weight of 3458 grams or 7lb 10oz. 

It dates to the Victorian period and is in a good original unpolished condition. Please see photos
