Eleanor Mildred Sidgwick is widely regarded as the finest mind so far in the history of physical research. Here is her collection of cases and her analysis of them reported over a period of 35 years to the Society for Psychical Research, London. The second part of this volume is Mrs. Sidgwick's abridgment and editing of the great two-volume work on the same subject by her predecessors. She has thus provided us, in a thousand pages, with the work which becomes indispensable to anyone who wants to know anything about psychical research.
