Cute little dachshund dog figurine, sculpted by Joshua, Tree, California artist Howard Pierce. This unique (even for Pierce) figurine captures the long, lithe build of the dachshund in elegant form. Measuring 10 inches long by 3.5 inches tall, this doggie is glazed in the brown semi-matte glaze which Pierce used often in the 1950s and '60s, with subtle white highlights on the snout, chest and belly. Marked "Howard Pierce" on the underside. Condition is Good with unfortunately a break which goes around the dog's neck (see photos). Even with this flaw, it's a great piece worthy of any Pierce collection. Will ship via USPS Ground Advantage or Priority in a well-packed box with insurance. Thank you for looking.
