Stefan Szczesny (*1951, München) ist ein deutscher Maler, Bildhauer und Grafiker und zählt zu den wichtigsten Vertretern der Neuen Wilden der 1980er Jahre. Nach Studien in München und Paris entwickelte er seinen unverwechselbaren figurativen Stil. 2000 erhielt er den Auftrag, The Living Planet für die Expo in Hannover zu schaffen – ein internationales Großprojekt. Heute lebt und arbeitet Szczesny in Saint-Tropez, seine Werke sind weltweit vertreten.

Artist Biography
Stefan Szczesny (b. 1951, Munich) is a German painter, sculptor, and graphic artist, and an important figure of the Neue Wilde (New Wildness) art movement of the 1980s. After studies in Munich and Paris, he developed his distinctive figurative style. In 2000, he was commissioned to create The Living Planet for the Expo in Hannover, a major international project. Szczesny’s works are today exhibited worldwide, and he lives and works in Saint-Tropez.
