Showcase (Vol 1 1956 DC) #61 1966 VG+ The Spectre
For Sale is Showcase #61 from 1966.
Showcase was a ‘try out’ magazine used by DC
to determine popularity before starting a series with a particular character.
It famously reinvigorated superhero
magazines and triggered the Silver Age by showcasing the (Silver Age) Flash.
This is the second of three try out issues
for The Spectre.
His own title followed.
The issue is mainly in very good condition, complete, no missing pages, no cut-outs, no scribble.
It has minor creasing on the front cover.
There is a 3 cm. tear up the spine of the
cover and the first page sheet.
The cover and the first page sheet are
separated from the lower staple.

My policy:
I am accurate and conservative in my grading.
I will never grade higher than what I see as the
actual quality of the comic; lower if anything.
(I will not call an issue Fine or even VG if
there are any clear defects).
Pictures are of the actual comic(s) for sale and will
always show any defects (if there are any).
Please judge the quality by the detailed description
and the pictures provided.
There will be multiple pictures (not just front
and back), minimum (dependent on the number of pictures limitation), front,
first page and centre (for staples), then highlighting any defects (again, if
there are any).
Packaging will be very secure to ensure the product
arrives in as good a condition as it has left me.
I reserve the right to add ‘signature required’ to the
postage option (if not already in the option) where I see necessary, at my own
expense.
Postage will be reduced if multiple purchases are
made.
Add each to cart and request an invoice.
International buyers – please note: Import duties,
taxes, and charges aren’t included in the item price or postage cost. These
charges are the buyer's responsibility.
Please check with your country's customs office
to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying.
