A fine woodland scene from Bornholm Island by Danish artist Nis Stougaard (1906–1987).
This work is an excellent example of mid-20th-century Danish landscape painting, highlighting Stougaard’s talent for capturing the distinctive atmosphere and serene depth of the Nordic forest.
Housed in a classic gilt wooden frame that complements the painting’s period character.
Certificate of Authenticity (COA) is included.

Excellent vintage condition with minor wear appropriate for age.
Nis Stougaard (1906 - 1987) Danish painter and ceramist. As a painter was Nis Stougaard known for his landscapes of Bornholm in bright colors. He exhibited particular Charlottenborg in Spring 1948 and 1949 and the Artists' Autumn Exhibition 1948
