Vintage 1950’s to 1960’s Metal Wire & Padded Leather Catcher’s Mask
Era: 1950s–1960s
Details:
• Notice the more compact wire cage, compared to the bulkier 1930s–40s models.
• Black leather padding with stitched seams, but cleaner, more “manufactured” than the hand-heavy look of earlier decades.
• Riveted strap across the forehead is a mid-century design update for stability.
• Dating: A 1950s–60s catcher’s mask. Likely Wilson, Rawlings, or Spalding production from that time.
