Ticket measures 14 1/4 x 5 1/16 inches except for bottom 3 1/2 inches which has been trimmed to 4 1/2 inches. About 3 1/2 inches by 5 1/16 inches of archival tape to bottom third on verso. Archival tape at top right edge also. Small split at fold. Light chipping at top edge barely intruding into woodblock. Fair condition.

Widely known as the Sacramento Convention, The Sacramento Convention of 1878–79 amended and ratified the original 1849 constitution. It took place in Sacramento, California from March 1878 to March 1879. Drom this convention a new revised California Constitution was adopted by a vote in May 1879.
