SLAYER – REIGN IN BLOOD
Original Cassette Tape • Def Jam Recordings
Paper Label Variant • Allegedly Haunted • First Pressing (1986)
Unearthed during a house clearance in Lancashire, this early pressing of Reign in Blood came from an attic locked for nearly three decades. The room contained old ritual books, charred newspaper clippings, and a broken cassette deck with this very tape inside — still rewound to Side A, Angel of Death.
This version bears the unmistakable paper label — indicative of early Def Jam pressings before later reissues with plastic labels. A highly sought-after collector’s copy, made all the more curious by its provenance.

🔻 Haunted Provenance Note:
Since retrieving this tape, my own player has acted strangely. On two separate occasions, the tape played on its own after being paused — once during a thunderstorm. When rewound, brief whispers were heard beneath the track, resembling backwards speech or distorted growls. A local tech who tested the tape claimed he’d “never seen a cassette do that.”
Whether you believe in cursed media or not, this cassette holds an undeniably heavy energy. It has been cleaned, but will be sent as found — in its original condition, with minor signs of age and haunting.
