Half red morocco leather bound cover with 5 raised bands and red cloth boards has sunning and staining to cloth and rubbed corners but bright and in very good+ condition. Boards and spine are straight. Binding is tight. Gilt page edges have light scuffing with thumbed index in excellent condition. Last name of owner of book gilt stamped on lower spine "Volkman." marbled end sheets and paste downs in beautiful condition. Gift inscription on first white end sheet. Gravure frontispiece of Daniel Webster. This is the "Thin Paper" edition. Pages are lightly toned but clean and very good.
