Spaceketeers, part of Jim Terry’s Force Five package, was the American adaptation of Leiji Matsumoto’s Starzinger. Inspired by the classic tale of Journey to the West, it follows Princess Aurora on a quest to restore balance to the universe, accompanied by her three cybernetically enhanced protectors—Jesse Dart, Jan Kugo, and Hakka. Together, they travel across galaxies battling evil forces and ensuring Aurora can reach the Great King planet. Blending space opera themes with adventurous storytelling, Spaceketeers gave U.S. audiences a unique taste of Matsumoto’s sweeping cosmic vision.
