Why does your vehicles installed RKE / Security system determine which remote control your can purchase?
The remotes job is to pair with your vehicles installed RKE system. It will only sync to a matching system; therefore, you cannot purchase a different type of remote than the remote manufactured with the system. It will not pair with a foreign system.
Programming:
We will send you information on how to locate programming requirement/instructions for your make, model, and year vehicle. Some vehicles have DIY (do-it-yourself) programming instructions available. While other vehicles require diagnostic programming which is available at your local qualified automotive locksmith or dealer.
Programming Requirement Information NOTE:
The vehicle manufacturers determine the programming requirements at the time of manufacture. We pass the programming requirements / instructions on to you as a courtesy. We do not write the programming nor do we determine which vehicles require diagnostic programming and which vehicles can be programmed by the you (DIY). We are not locksmiths nor mechanics nor are we familiar with EVERY vehicles program sequence. If you have questions:
1. Check your Vehicle Owners Manual for OEM Factory remotes or The User Manual for Dealer Installed or Aftermarket RKE systems.
2. YouTube has many video postings from do-it-yourselfers to assist with all kinds of questions & most customers find if very helpful to WATCH the programming being done which can eliminate mistakes in the sequence.

i. If you have a factory RKE system: your make model year + the words program remote (i.e.: 2005 Ford Mustang program remote)
ii. If you have a dealer installed or aftermarket RKE system: the FCC ID or system type + the words program remote (i.e.: ELVAT5C program remote or AS200 program transmitter?)
3. For OEM FACTORY installed systems: send us an eBay message with your vehicles make, model & year = we can pass on to you any programming information requirements we have on hand.
4. For DEALER INSTALLED RKE installed systems: send us an eBay message with your remote controls FCC ID # and PART# and the vehicles make, model, & year = we can pass on to you any programming information requirements we have on hand (the programming for dealer installed RKE systems will be different than Factory or Aftermarket installed RKE systems).
