How to Program the 0.584.040 Proflame 2 Remote to Your Fireplace

The SIT 0.584.040 remote transmitter can be programmed to an existing Proflame 2 receiver on any compatible direct vent fireplace or stove. Follow these steps:

Locate the receiver — Usually found behind the lower access panel of your fireplace.
Press the program button on your receiver one time. You should hear 3 short beeps, indicating the receiver is ready to accept a new transmitter code.
Press the On/Off button on the 0.584.040 remote. You should hear 4 beeps from the receiver, confirming successful pairing.
Test the remote by pressing On/Off again. The fireplace should ignite within 4-8 seconds.

Troubleshooting: If pairing fails, the most common issue is the receiver itself. Ensure the receiver is plugged into a working 120V outlet and has battery backup installed.

What Batteries Does the 0.584.040 Use?

The SIT Proflame 2 Remote Transmitter uses 3 AAA batteries.

Important: Use standard alkaline batteries only. The use of lithium ion batteries has been found to cause an ER9 error code (transmitter battery measure error) due to higher voltage output.

If you see an ER9 code on your remote display and have lithium batteries installed, swap them for standard alkaline batteries. If the ER9 code persists after switching to alkaline batteries, the remote transmitter may need to be replaced.

What Does "Fully Loaded" Mean?

The 0.584.040 is the "fully loaded" version of the Proflame 2 transmitter, meaning all features are enabled:
