This listing is for an antique LID ONLY that matches Copeland Spode’s Gainsborough pattern. The lid is ROUND and measures 7 7/8” in diameter from edge to edge. There is a ridge on the underside to correctly seat the lid on the base. That ridge measures 7 1/4” from ridge to ridge. The depth when the lid is resting on a table to the top of the apple measures approximately 3” in height. Perhaps – only perhaps – this goes with a vegetable bowl? What a stunning transferware pattern that is colored to accent the flowers. The colors include yellow, mauve, green, light blue, and purple. Note, the handle is an apple. The lid is unmarked. The lid has a vibrant decoration. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. Please see photos to supplement this description.
