The plate is 14 inches long with a thick brass back and original beechwood open handle. The handle has no chips at the horns (see photos). Brass nuts and bolts are also original with distinctive makers mark, however one split-nut is missing. Tooth line is straight. The saw just needs sharpening and cleaning. Could be a great addition to someones collection or a workshop.

This saw is later example from 19th century by very reputable manufacturer and excellent quality. These R Groves saw considered one of the the best quality woodworking saws and have long history and reputation. Heavy with a thick brass back. Made in and marked Sheffield.
