Description.
Fine academic male figure study executed in pencil on warm-toned brown academy paper. Signed “Erna H.” in the lower left and dated “35” in the lower right.
A rare work by the female Danish modernist painter Erna Hansen (b. 1906). The composition presents a male figure with his geometric shadow, rendered in an academic style. The face is left deliberately undefined, directing attention to the proportions, structure, and balance of the body.
The artwork is presented under glass and housed in an antique gilt wood frame with black inner band (Both the glass and frame are included with shipment.)
Certificate of Authenticity (COA) is included.
Condition.
Ready to hang. Excellent condition with minor wear appropriate for age.
