NEMA 4X / IP65 sealed enclosure with built-in heatsink for wet / dirty environments. BC154, BCWD140 and BC160 are unidirectional controls. Change motor direction by switching armature leads or by adding Forward/ Brake/Reverse switch kit. BC154, BC160, BC254 and BC354 are painted light gray and come with a start-stop switch. All offer a choice of armature or tachometer feedback and a speed or torque mode.
A 115/230 VAC, full-wave regenerative variable speed DC drive in a NEMA-4X/IP-65 washdown and watertight enclosure. Designed to operate 90 and 180 V permanent magnet and shunt wound DC motors in a bidirectional mode. It provides 4-quadrant operation, which allows forward and reverse torque in both speed directions. Motor overload protection will shut down control if the motor is overloaded for a predetermined amount of time. The exclusive auto-inhibit circuit allows safe, smooth starting during rapid cycling of the AC line.

- Its housing is ruggedly constructed of die cast aluminum which is protected with an acrylic coating for the ultimate in corrosion resistance
- All switches are sealed with rubber boots and the main speed potentiometer has a shaft seal
- Short circuit and transient protection are provided for ultimate in reliability
- Electronic overload protection prevents motor burnout and demagnetization of PM motors
- The control can be operated in either the speed or torque mode via jumper selection
- The current range, which is also jumper selectable, eliminates the necessity for calibration of IR compensation and current limit for most applications
- AC line voltage 230/115 VAC (jumper selectable), DC armature voltage (180/90 VDC) and feedback type may be armature/tachometer
