An optical element that reflects a layer of incident light on a surface of an optical glass substrate by vacuum plating a layer of metallic silver (aluminum) film. Because it is the reflection of the first reflecting surface, the reflected image is not distorted, and there is no ghosting, which is a front coated mirror.
