Ontorejo is a character in Javanese wayang kulit, the traditional shadow puppet theatre of Indonesia. He is depicted as a formidable naga (dragon) and is the son of Bima (Bhima) and Dewi Nagagini, making him a half-human, half-serpent figure. Ontorejo is renowned for his extraordinary powers, including an invulnerable Napakawaca skin and the ability to live and move within the earth. In the wayang narratives, Ontorejo's role varies; he is sometimes portrayed as an antagonist manipulated by the Kurawa to challenge the Pandavas, while in other stories, he is a loyal ally.
