For your consideration is the 1900 antique card game of THE GAME OF COMMERCE, manufactured by the J. OTTMANN LITHOGRAPHING COMPANY of New York City.  It is complete with 48 cards (8 suits of 6 cards each), as follows:

"The object of the game is to obtain all the cards of one suit by trading with the other players . . . ."

The cards measure 2-1/2 inches by 3-1/2 inches inches.  The instructions measure 4 inches by 6 inches.  The box measures 4-3/4 inches by 6-1/4 inches by inch.
 
CONDITIONThe game is complete with 48 cards: 8 suits of 6 cards each, 4-page instruction booklet and original box.  The cards are rubbed and soiled; some have creases.  The instructions are gently rubbed, lightly soiled and creased.  The corners of the box top and bottom are intact;  there is a small (1/4-inch) apron split on the box top.  The chromolithographed cover retains its bright colors but it is gently rubbed and lightly soiled.  PLEASE NOTE:  There is a small area of paper loss at the lower left-hand corner of the cover.  PLEASE MOUSE OVER THE PHOTOGRAPHS FOR CONDITION DETAILS.
