Genuine part, see pics #2-3. This is the piece that fits on the left (N/S) under the dash (on a RHD car). (see pics #4-5) The part that fits up to the dashboard is 10-11cm wide, less than the wider version (approx. 16cm) for later bugs (see our other listings). Please measure your dash outlet hole to make sure. There are marks and signs of usage as you'd expect from a used item of this age (c.55+ years), but overall it is in good condition and would benefit from a clean up, not that it will be seen often.
