Love Mid-Century Modern / MCM serving ware and advertising? Check out this fantastic piece of business history! Mid-Century hotels used glasses like this in the hotel guest rooms instead of the plastic drinkware commonly found today.
This listing is for three (3) hotel drinking glasses from Blackhawk Hotels Company. The logo apparently dates to 1929.
The size is approximately 2.5" diameter and 3.5" tall. Liquid volume is approximately 8 ounces. The glass is very heavy, with a weighted bottom. The logo is embossed with paint.
From the Internet: Dick Lane founded the Blackhawk Hotels Company in 1929. He died in 1955, having been an active entrepreneur -- especially in the hotel industry.
